Alfa Romeo’s Nuvola never went on sale, and still shaped the 156

Alfa Romeo showed the Nuvola at the Paris Motor Show in October 1996, 30 years before it returns to the same show with a new concept on 12 October. The two-seater never went on sale. Within four years, though, its design language had reached the 156, the 166 and the 147, and two of those cars were voted European Car of the Year.
